Most people know PepsiCo for its trademark brand Pepsi. In reality, PepsiCo is one of the largest and most diverse food and beverage portfolios in the world. With a global business operating in over 200 countries and territories, the scale of the business can quickly become hard to grasp from the outside.
This talk by Edward Lindquist goes beyond the brand to explore how PepsiCo's international beverage business actually works, including the franchise model that underpins growth outside the US. It's a different way of running a global business than many people assume, with real trade-offs between control, speed, and local market fit, offering a window into how a company this size operates and succeeds on the ground, market by market.
Before joining PepsiCo, Edward spent several years in strategy consulting roles including, Business Sweden, (in Sydney and London), PMSI focused on investor due diligence in healthcare and pharma and PwC focused on due diligence in retail, consumer and sports. He describes himself as a “multi-citizen” being American, British and Swedish. He is a member of PepsiCo's International Beverages strategy team, based in Dublin.
